Soloist Debi Ruud

Debi Ruud earned her degree in vocal performance from Fresno State in 1998. Not only has Debi been teaching privately for 20 years, she has also been singing professionally in top 40, rock, jazz and R & B bands, numerous churches, and special events in the Central Valley for over 30 years. From 2009-2017, Debi was the musical director at Bethel Lutheran Church in downtown Fresno. She has been involved with the Good Company players as well as several other theater companies in Fresno. She has recorded two albums and in February of 2019 is releasing her third. Debi has sung on numerous recordings for many local artists and her voice can be heard on countless radio and TV commercials all throughout the valley. She is known for her 5 year run of being one of the Valleys American Idol “vocal coach’s” on FOX 26. Debi is the founder, owner, head teacher and co-director, of the Valleys largest privately owned music school of its’ kind, Fresno Music Academy & Arts. She and her new band “Debi Ruud and the Lost Souls” perform regularly around the Valley. She is also the founder and director of Fresno’s only Rock-n-Roll Choir, Hearts in Fire, which has over 40 members and is in its 6th year of celebrating the joy of music!
